Image:      Confused at the appearance of another space pod, Kuririn, Bulma and Gohan wonder who it could be. The foot soldier turns his Dragonball over to Dodoria. Freeza tells him to keep it under guard, as Vegeta has come for them as well. Zarbon informs Freeza that Kewie's pod has just landed, explaining how Freeza knows about Vegeta's recent arrival as well. Further, Zarbon is tracking two smaller, unknown power readings which have suddenly disappeared, and has dispatched two scouts to investigate. Freeza is more concerned with Vegeta, and Zarbon assures him that Kewie will see to him.

Kewie locates Vegeta with his Scouter and heads off in his direction. Now that he has permission from Freeza, he can finally settle their personal score. Vegeta goads Kewie on via their Scouters' radios. Kewie laughs at Vegeta, pointing out that his power rating is much higher than Vegeta's.

Bulma wishes Kuririn and Gohan luck, and heads for the spaceship. Kuririn and Gohan debate whether they should stay there where it is dangerous or leave with Bulma and come back to use the Dragonballs when they are next available. Before they can decide, Gohan senses a Ki coming their way. Taking defensive positions, Gohan and Kuririn wait to see who it is. On the other side of a bluff, Zarbon's pair of scouts touch down and begin looking around. Both parties believe the other to be Namekian natives. When the scouts come around the bluff, they see what they think are tourists who happen to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. They are under orders to eliminate everyone on the planet, which includes them! Gohan and Kuririn also realize they aren't dealing with the natives, and are surprised that the battle armor worn by the scouts is so close to that worn by the Saiyans. But they aren't Saiyans, confusing Kuririn even further. He tells Gohan to start charging up his Ki while keeping it masked. The two scouts laugh at their power readings, then blast a hole through their ship to keep them from escaping! Kuririn tells Gohan to release his Ki, and the two of them power up, easily defeating the two scouts before powering down again. However, Bulma is worried the damage to the ship is too extensive to repair.

Zarbon's Scouter follows the exchange. He describes to Freeza the activity of the two mysterious power readings. Since they only went as high as 1500, Freeza isn't worried about them being a threat. He doesn't like the fact that they defied warriors in his service, however, and orders that they be eliminated the next time they appear.

Image:      At the hospital, Goku concentrates on a glass of water. Focusing, he manages to levitate the water out of the glass and suspend it in mid-air above him. Chichi calls his name, distracting his concentration, and the water rains down on his head! He explains that he just got bored. Chichi grabs a towel and vigorously dries Goku's bandaged head, wondering how Gohan is doing with his own hair.

Unable to repair the ship, Bulma gives up all hope. Gohan and Kuririn warn her that they need to find somewhere to hide, since more of Vegeta's allies (who else could they be?) are likely to come and investigate what happened there. With some luck, they might find a Namekian who can fix the ship.

Kewie arrives at Vegeta's location. He again taunts Vegeta about his lower power level, when Vegeta says he has something to show him. It seems that during his fight on Earth, Vegeta learned by observation how to control his battle power the same way the earthlings did. He starts to power up, and Kewie's Scouter registers the rise in energy, finally exploding at around 22,000. Vegeta explains that he has been actively seeking out battles, keeping his skills sharp and learning new techniques, while Kewie has mostly stayed at Freeza's side and out of harm's way.

Zarbon's Scouter, which is also tracking Vegeta's actions, also explodes at the same reading. Dodoria sets his newer model Scouter to Vegeta's reading, and is surprised to find that Vegeta's level has risen to over 24,000. At that level, he is stronger than both of them! Freeza correctly analyzes Vegeta's battle-earned strength, and reminds them that if the two of them team up, they can still defeat Vegeta. He also accurately discerns Vegeta's motive for seeking the Dragonballs — he is after Freeza's throne!

Overwhelmed by Vegeta's strength, Kewie proposes a truce, saying he also wants Freeza out of the way. Vegeta easily sees through Kewie's lie, and continues to advance. Kewie then uses the oldest trick in the book to make Vegeta think Freeza was right behind him! When Vegeta turns to look, Kewie blindsides him with a volley of energy blasts. However, when the smoke clears, Vegeta, standing opposite Kewie, derides him for his choice of strategy. Terrified, Kewie runs away, but Vegeta's newfound speed overtakes him easily, and with two blows utterly destroys Kewie!

Monitoring on his Scouter, Dodoria reports what has happened. Freeza remains unconcerned, and orders everyone to head off for the next Dragonball.

Vegeta realizes his actions must have been registered by the others' Scouters. He may be able to take on Zarbon and Dodoria alone, but he is still no match for Freeza himself. He devises a strategy to prevent Freeza's wish from being granted — All seven Dragonballs must be gathered to grant a wish. If he were to find just one and hide it where no one else could find it, then manage to steal the other six after Freeza had gathered them, he would come out the winner!

One of Freeza's men locates several Namekian readings on his Scouter, and everyone takes off in that direction.

Bulma struggles to keep up with the pace Gohan and Kuririn are setting. She begs one of them to fly her along, but Gohan explains that it takes too much Ki, and they'll be spotted on the Scouters. Kuririn manages to find a cave that appears safe to hide in, and they head for the mouth of it. Gohan senses a number of Ki in the distance that are different from the ones they felt earlier. Perhaps they belong to some of the natives. Before they can determine their next course of action, Kuririn feels a horde of evil Ki headed right in their direction. He warns everyone to get inside the cave and hide!
